What is Power Washing?
Power washing is when a very high-pressure stream of hot water is used to blast away dirt and other substances from surfaces. It’s the temperature of the water that makes power washing quite different from pressure washing.
As a result of the heated temperature, the water is can break down materials much easier. This makes power washing the better choice for more heavy-duty jobs that have a lot of dirt or stuck on materials.
Power washing is quite forceful, and it’s recommended that it only be used on especially hard surfaces like sidewalks, patios, or driveways.
What is Pressure Washing?
Pressure washing is most commonly used when giving our homes a much-needed wash. It’s a similar high-pressure wash to power washing but does not use heat. While this type of wash still does a great job of washing away dirt, it doesn’t perform as well when going up against other substances like mold or gum.
Unlike power washing, the effectiveness of pressure washing depends more on the pressure of the water than the temperature. A pressure wash is a great way to give a dated looking building a facelift. It can be done weekly or monthly to keep things looking new and fresh.
